Is it possible to align the strut/shock/spring inboard of the Kingpin?

On many of the McPherson strut assemblies I have seen, the strut/ shock/spring align so that they intersect the cross arm inboard of the Kingpin.

I think this would change the Leverage Ratio calculated?

Good point. I'll mull it over during the next few days. I have an op tomorrow, so will need a few days recovery which will slow things down, but I think I could come up with a solution within the next few weeks.
