Good morning, trying to learn a arm suspension. We have played with the calculator but realizing we dont really understand whats most impotant. My Daughter and I are making A arms for the front of her Baja Bug. We just finished making the swing arms for the rear. Any thoughts where we should start or good reading material that you would recomend? Thanks for the site and we are extremly excited to build 🙂

I googled Baja bug front suspensions and came up with this one.

here's a great pic of it:

Couple of things to note about it.

What a great upright! You need to get your upright first.
Suspension arms are as long as possible because of the suspension travel you need.
Note the top arm is not that much shorter than the bottom arm, and their is only a small inclination on the top arm relative to the bottom arm. This is so you don't get too much camber gain and also to try and keep roll the centre height up and down movement controllable. Let the the roll centre height come out where it will. Can be fairly low.
Once you have this in the geometry calculator you'll be able to try different length arms, and different angle for the top arm. This setup looks like a good thing.

I almost forgot. Don't put any anti-dive in the geometry for this long travel suspension. (There is none in this car, as far as I can tell from this and other pics on the dansperformance web site.)
