LCA and UCA bearing analysis

Analyze the effect roll and ride have on the control arm bearings relative to the amount of chassis roll. You might find that the bearing exceeds the operating range of the knuckle, but I hope that it will give peace of mind that it doesn’t.

  1. Open the Suspension Geometry Calculator
  2. Click  so it becomes  if it isn’t already.
  3. Click  to open settings.
  4. Scroll down and select any or all of the following metrics:
    1. LCA Left Bearing
    2. LCA Right Bearing
    3. UCA Left Bearing
    4. UCA Right Bearing
  5. Click apply.
  6. Analyze!

MacPherson strut length analysis

Analyze the effect roll and ride have on the strut length.

  1. Open the Macpherson Geometry Calculator
  2. Click  so it becomes  if it isn’t already.
  3. Click  to open settings.
  4. Scroll down and select any or all of the following metrics:
    1. Strut Length Left
    2. Strut Length Right
  5. Click apply.
  6. Analyze!

Scrub radius metric

Scrub radius maybe static even when the ride and roll change, but it can be useful to display along side other metrics.

  1. Open the Suspension Geometry Calculator
  2. Click  so it becomes  if it isn’t already.
  3. Click  to open settings.
  4. Scroll down and select Scroll Radius.
  5. Click apply.

How to subscribe

  1. Take a look at the Feature Matrix
  2. Select the calculator you wish to subscribe to.
  3. Hit the Subscribe button.
  4. Enjoy the new features.
