New member here - my cars use wide racing slicks, very wide at the rear.

So before I get started how should I enter the tyre data?
Supplied tyre data (on the side wall) is in the format - tread width x overall diam x rim daim - for instance 10.5 x 23 x 13.

Should I just calculate/approximate what my tyres 'normal' dimensions would be?

But then how important are the tyre dimensions? We're dealing with suspension movement here so isn't only tyre diameter important? Or more specifically the rolling radius to give spindle height?

I'm not going to be designing new suspensions - just understanding what I've got to compare cars and evaluating possible minor changes to link lengths, anchorage locations etc.

tread width (mm) / sidewall profile (% of width) / rim diameter (inch)

Here's a calculator that you can use to convert to the overall diameter. You may have to guess the sidewall profile until the correct diameter is displayed...
