I´m a bit confused with the ride height dimension, since it actually seems to be, graphically, the distance between the ground and the LCA inner chassis pick up point. when I make my design every dimension and angle seems correct compared with the real dimensions in the car but not this ride height (if it´s that distance between the ground and the chassis pick up point). I get a difference of 50 mm with the real thing and with everything else matching.

I´ve managed to measure the wheel diameter and radius and the tyre profile in mm on the drawing and what I´ve found is that by introducing 205/55/16 in the tyre dimensions you actually don´t get the correct diameter/radius of the wheel which in my case is 632/316 mm, but entering 205/113/16 being 113 the tyre profile in mm you get the correct dimensions!!, and now every single measure in the design matches, including "ride height".

So, I guess I was doing wrong by entering 55 which is the percentage of tyre profile with respect to its width (a relative dimension instead a real dimension in mm)??

I really would like to know!.

The "ride height" is actually the distance between the lower control arm chassis joint and the ground so you have to factor in the distance between the LCA and the floor of the car.

Interesting find regarding the tyre profile. It should be the percentage as you would expect but you seem to have found a bug. Let me look into it and get back to you...

The tires are 13 inches (330.2 mm), 160 mm section width and 53% ratio, so that makes the tire radius:

(330.2 / 2) + 160 * 0.53 ~= 250 mm

Given that the control arms are parallel to the ground, and the chassis height is 200 mm, I would expect the ride height to be the tire radius minus half of the chassis height:

250 - 100 = 150 mm

But the ride height I see is 145 mm. Where did that 5 mm go? Is there some tire deflection going on, or did I calculate the tire height incorrectly?

The ride height within the model is measure from the ground to the lower chassis control arm which maybe higher than the chassis floor height. On my cart there is an approx. 30mm difference between the lower chassis control arm and the chassis floor. Could this be why?

What you're saying sounds plausible. It's just not clear from the calculator where I can set the offset of the lower chassis control arm from the chassis floor (perhaps I can't).
