I'm trying to enter values for my suspension system into the proper fields and I am getting automated feedback (see uploaded image). Is there a way to toggle this feature off?

I can't get all of my fields filled in because I am not permitted to enter a value that conflicts with the ones that are already there.

I would like to enter all of the values for my design in to the applicable fields before testing the layout.

Hi Erin,

When you enter a value for say just the UCA length, that is the only variable that changes so if you have dramatically shortened the UCA, it will in turn increase the kingpin inclination which will in turn increase the camber.

It is different from when you drag the points around. You've probably noticed that when you drag the UCA / upper kingpin joint it automatically increases the kingpin inclination which in turn keeps the camber constant.

In hindsight it would have been better to apply the same logic to the form input so if you only change one variable, the calculator will automatically adjusts the other "hidden" variables so that in this case the camber remains as -2.7 deg.

For the moment if you have all the dimensions listed in the form input to hand enter them all at once and it should accept them.

I'm working on features to save and share your models for the next update. I will then review the method of inputting data and possibly add an upload using some of the standards you suggested.

Regards,
Huw

Yes, I see the difference in the two different modes (dragging the control points vs field entry) but I am not able enter all my values, let alone one, that does not force an error message.

I have seen field entry tables that would allow a user to lock fields that they knew they wanted to keep, thereby forcing the remaining fields to be adjusted by the app.

I am assuming that copying the embed code for my setup into a text file locally and then pasting it into my browser the next day would be the only way to resume where I left off. Is this so, or is there a save feature somewhere?

Can you email me the values you are inputting so I can try? hdavies@racingaspirations.com

For the moment save the url beneath the heading - Sharing or use the plus button beneath Sharing to save to your favourites. Saving is due in the next update.
