You'll undoubtedly have more experience than me, what sort of degree of body roll might one expect on a sports car, a TVR Vixen in "fast road" trim to be precise? Is it unrealistic to expect to completely eliminate roll centre movement on a car like this without completely remaking everything!? Regards

5 degrees roll is a good starting point. You don’t need to eliminate roll center movement entirely - just control it so there are no wild changes. I always try and keep my roll center within a metre of the CoG, but that is by no means a benchmark. I have written a few articles on roll center movement, location and wheel frequency which may help

The value I given you is the distance of the opposite side of a right-angled triangle.

You will need to supply the distance from the kingpin to the steering arm knuckle - which will be the hypotenuse.

http://www.cleavebooks.co.uk/scol/calrtri.htm is a useful tool

a = the calculator value
c = the steering arm distance

click calculate

angle A = the steering angle
