[singlepic id=42 w=170 h=120 float=left]The Evo3 is getting a serious gearbox – It’s a Ford Rocket with Quaife maincase + top cover and Tran-X gearset. I thought about mating the gearbox to a standard Fiat bellhousing, but it looked far too heavy, so I’ve opted to stick with the Reliant bellhousing.

16 Sep 2007: The gearbox builder has put the original tailcase (which is aluminium as standard) back on as the short version was just too short for the Phasar. This should be about it for the gearbox.

All in all, the gearbox has cost a fair bit; possibly, almost as much as buying a new one from Quaife, but i’m sure it will prove its worth next year.
